i have ragetek's low compression pistons.

DONT buy em if theyre on your list of consideration.

why not?

too low of a compression. IDGAF what shea (ex-employee at ragetek) says to defend them. the car is sluggish driving around town, and idles like shit w/ big cams. the low compression also contributed to worse mpg.

my motor is VERY stout and i can do 8k wot shifts and 600+ all day w/o it flinching...just i'll be replacing the 7.0's for some 9.0 pistons.

there is ZERO reason for low compression. find me companies that build motors for other types of cars w/ less than 8.5:1, and id be surprised.

unless you run straight up pump gas w/ zero meth and never run race gas, 7.0's shouldnt even be an option imo...

get higher compression, run good octane, keep an eye on timing, and reap the benefits of more spool, better mpg, better driveability off boost, and more power per lb of boost than the 7.0s.

i bought into a gimic and sadly i wish i didnt.
give me a good enough offer, and ill pull my pistons out and sell em Laughing 3600 miles on em.

lol and you are? Jerkit2

here's a new(er) updated vid of my car doing 60 rolls w/ 26" slicks aired WAY down, on moderate boost, and 14* timing. reason timing was so low was because bad race gas. usually sees 20-24*. still roasts the slicks to 115mph on low timing.

what do you mean? how many srts do you know w/ the 7.2s?

it's not a matter of opinion. a higher compression WILL increase mpg, increase throttle response, increase spool, all the while making more power doing it.

i went from stock, to 8.5:1 pistons, to 7.2:1 pistons..and noticed the differences between each time doing it.

i semi wish! i love my neon. but its hard to beat a built honda in a shell that would weigh in at 21-2200lb and put down big #s.. lol
my next project will be either EG hatch w/ a b18 w/ a billet 4294r, or an Evo w/ a billet 6765 unless i go turbo v8.
I want something that i can do digs all day w/, so evo or boosted v8 is looking to be the next choice..
