V6 coming back

Post by V6Chris on December 17th 2009, 8:12 pm

The V6 is on the lift
Starting tearing apart things tomorrow. finishing the inside.
Wont say too much about it but here are the basics

Stock bottom end 3.8L
ported heads and intakes from myself
Different regrinded camshaft or maybe a new one.
new fuel system
the car will not have a spinning issue at all
Dig, 20, 30 etc..

AWDs get ready. Cause you wont be running me from a roll....except for 2-3 people.

Anyone want to bet on when it's going to blow? I'll hold the action.

Its a stock bottom end
The plan is for it to blow. make 420to start then raise the boost til it blows.
The car makes 160whp stock...considering I've made 440rwhp already once before i find that pretty impressive for a push rod

push rod but those come with anything from 300hp to 500hp factory...you're talking about a COMPLETELY different motor. 3.8 vs 5.7, 6.0, 6.2, 7.0 etc...you're making a horrible point.
LS motors have TONS of after market
so What I'am doing would be like pushing an LS1 to baout 900whp stock bottom...
or an LS7 to about 1300rwhp on a stock bottom end
160whp x 3 =480...my goal is about 500...

so w/e point you're trying to make or joke doesnt mean to much to me. you're all talk.

Sometime in Jan bro. The time had for working on the car sunday just got cut now because of some other bullshit...Not saying its a time issue getting the car up and running because money is too, but I am limited on the time I get to work on the car

I still have about an easy $1,000 to spend between fuel and the turbo. Then theres tuning. Good thing about the stock bottom end though is once the car is ready, just needs to be tuned. no need to break in a junk yard motor lol!

I'll let you know Dig I'am assuming Cool

I'm keeping the T5 in there for now, its a built tranny. I'll be trying to sell it but i'll see how that goes.
When the built motor goes in then i'll be going an auto

Jeez, 480+ on a stock bottom end 3.8? Don't you think that's beyond pushing it?

well theres been some changes in the car =)
motor and tranny is pulled, sanded down some of the engine bay today gonna paint it gloss black.
Got some parts in
UPR adjustable uppers
UPR lower control arms
UPR K-member and a-arms
130springs for the front w/coil overs
some other parts are sitting around the shop.
waiting on money from the tranny and other stuff I sold to get the Tranny and next motor in!

still need an ECU and fuel system and the new turbo, new rad and then just some tuning
taking the stock bottom to about 20psi! my numbers have changed a little lol
i believe this stock bottom end will hold a little more power. especially with E85
